No life ever grows great by itself,
Until it is devoted, focused and closely controlled.
Also no life is ever happy until,
it is lived for the glory of Allah.
May Allah bless all of us..
May the spirit of Ramadan ,
enlighten the world and show us,
the way to peace and harmony..
Well, this is my first time experience for the holy month of ramadan, to do fasting (puasa) in overseas. The thing is, since I’ve arrived in this city (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates), I know I felt amazed with the way of life of the people in here.
Then, when Ramadan month was coming, I become more amazed. Because, all activities during Ramadan are always related with worship to God (Allah SWT). Not surprise enough for middle east country, that ruled by Islam religion. But, when I’ve experieced for the first time, It makes me wondering in a good way, that make me really thankful for experienced Ramadan in this good city.
In this part of the world, the phrase used to greet during Ramadan, is “Ramadan Kareem”, meaning ‘Ramadan is generous’. Well, Ramadan is a time for giving. People give to the poor, and help out their fellow man. Charity tents are erected for those who wish to donate to the needy, and charity desks abound.
